As the summer is winding down, the cooler weather feels even cooler after our long heat wave. We've been working on our give away, spreading the word around and bringing in donations.
Some of you might be confused as we had blogged previously about our fundraiser and that we were raising money for the rest of our adoption. Leading up to our give away, plans had changed and we decided to go a different route for our personal financial adoption account. We already had all of our give away prizes ready to go, so we thought what an amazing opportunity to pay it forward and host a fundraiser for L's orphanage (Beautiful Gate Care Centre). They could use the money in so many ways, for things we take for granted on a daily basis.
Today we're sitting at raising $500 of our $2000 goal. Our original plan was to hold this fundraiser a month long (September 3rd) but we may be holding it over until we reach our goal. We will see when the date gets closer.
This month is another matching meeting. Feeling pretty proud of myself this time around for not allowing my brain to become anxious. Still in the back of my mind, but trying really hard to allow what ever is supposed to happen, happen. I have no control over any of it, so i'm letting it all go (with my fingers and toes crossed).
