Summer is here, it's hot and beautiful with our evening thunder and lightening storms. The boys are finally able to enjoy the outdoors running around with water toys and the spray park across the street is up and running folks!! Yipee for an easy care free summer which will include a lot of "mom I'm bored" from my 5 year old. I can't help but kind of wish it away, trying not to watch the calendar like watching paint dry… COME ON SEPTEMBER!
Our dossier got held up with a few changes that needed to happen and then it all got too confusing with miscommunication. On top of that a matching meeting happened and our agency didn't know about it. So, sadly we missed that one. It's off to victoria to get authenticated and legalized and then next stop Lesotho!! I'm watching those tracking numbers like a hawk!
Matching meetings happen every 4 months, so here's to September!! Enjoying the hot sunny weather, time spent with my boys and lots of gardening. We've been told that one family waiting is ahead of us, so we're second on the list. I don't know what the norm is, and I'm trying not to get my hopes too high but… this could possibly happen in September?? Which would put us traveling around end of December if everything goes to plan. I've been trying to contain myself with buying all the girly things (so hard after 3 boys). I can't tell you how many times I have planned her room in my head, which color to paint, textiles to go with and I *might* have purchased a few items of clothing?? I just can't resist!!
I've been gathering donation items to take and my spare bedroom/office is officially a loading zone. This spare bedroom/office will soon be Quinn's new "big boy" room. I've been brain storming on how to make it a cool new space for him so that he's excited about the whole idea as apposed to feeling like he has to. Ideas??
On a gardening note, Kyle built us a green house this year! Everything is thriving!! I am so excited to harvest our garden this year and know we grew everything from seed! Growing this year are:
Butternut Squash
Green Onions
Basil (lots for home made pesto)
Cucumbers
Mini Sugar Pumpkins (for baking)
Purple Carrots
Red Onion
Summer Sweet Peas
Gigantic Pumpkins (halloween carving)
Beefy Tomatoes
Corn
Roma Tomatoes
On the list is another large garden bed so we can get garlic in this year also! Yum Yum Yum…
I hope wherever you are the sun is warming up and summer is on it's way :)
